War. War never changes.

Huh. Gotta be better than donating plasma...

There’s plenty of game quotes (sometimes mistranslated) that stick with you. The ones that invariably begin applying to important life events, or the ones you use to lure fellow gamers out of hiding at a party  (“Hey Joe, remember when the platform was sliding into the fire pit and I said ‘Goodbye’, and you were like, ‘No way!’ And then I was all, ‘We pretended we were going to murder you.’  That was great.”).

Or when we attempt to subconsciously control our fellow man (“Hey Bob, would you kindly take a long walk off a short pier?  Yeah, that’d be great, thanks.”)  Hmm, maybe that one’s just me.

SO! Test the First (shout-outs on the Link Dead Gaming Podcast for the best!):

What are your favorite video game quotes? And why?  Comment on this post and hook me up.

  1. Well, it’s in context but…
“This story, like all good stories, begins where it ends.”
    -The Longest Journey

  2. “You know, if there is one thing that I have learned, it is that we must obey the rules of the game. We can pick the game Niko Bellic, but we cannot change the rules.”
    -Dimitri GTA IV
Why? Because people forget that there are rules no matter what game we play [life speaking that is].

    • Words to live by indeed. 🙂 (I have yet to play those games… love Saints Row the Third tho. Similar?)

      • I wouldn’t know, I haven’t played Saint’s Row yet. But I’ve heard that GTA is on a more “realistic” level of gameplay, i.e. you drive into a wall fast enough and you will fly out through the windshield. lol

      • Hehe, yep 🙂 I’ve flown out of the car in SR3 maaaany times LOL

  3. We loved so many yet hated so much, we hurt others and were hurt ourselves… Yet even then, we ran like the wind, Whilst our laughter echoed, Under cerulean skies…

  4. “Have you ever licked a lamppost in winter?” because it was the first quote that came to mind. and btw, I agree, swooping is bad.
